How it works
Go to Customers → Open a customer → Go to the Credit Information tab in Odoo 18.
Configure the Credit Limit and choose Block on Credit Limit if you want to block orders.
During creating or editing of the sale order the system will show the Remaining Credit and warn or block if the order goes over the limit.
Users with override permission can confirm the sale order that goes over the credit limit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the credit limit apply to the draft quotation or only confirmed orders?
Credit limit check happens during the order confirmation in Odoo 18. The same logic will apply if the order is edited and exceeds the credit limit.
Is the credit limit calculated from unpaid invoices or order value?
The system calculates remaining credit depending on customer's Total Due (unpaid invoices) vs Credit Limit. The sale order is checked against the remaining credit available.
Can I set different credit limits for different customers?
Yes — each customer has his own Credit Limit field within Odoo 18. Different credit limits can be assigned to different customers depending on their payment history and relations.
Is this module compatible with Odoo Community edition?
Yes — compatible with Odoo 18.0 Community and Enterprise on Odoo.sh and On-Premise platform. Requires Sales module. Not available for Odoo Online (SaaS).
