Manage Customer Credit Limits in Odoo Sales

The Customer Credit Limit Management for Sales module helps businesses control customer credit risk directly within Odoo Sales.

You can set credit limits for customers, monitor remaining credit, and automatically warn or block users when a sales order exceeds the allowed limit.

This ensures better financial control while allowing managers to override limits when required.

Key Features

Credit Limit per Customer
Set a specific credit limit for each customer.

Credit Summary
View total due amount, credit limit, and remaining credit directly in the customer form.

Sales Order Blocking / Warning
Warn or block users when confirming or editing a sales order that exceeds the credit limit.

Remaining Credit in Sale Order
Instantly view the customer's remaining credit on the sale order form.

Manager Control
Only Sales Managers can configure or view credit limits.

Override Permission
Special user group allows authorized users to override credit warnings.

How It Works

Configure Customer Credit Limit
Go to Customers → Open a Customer → Credit Information Tab.

Set Credit Limit
Enter the Credit Limit and enable Block on Credit Limit if you want to prevent orders exceeding the limit.

Create or Edit Sale Orders
While creating or editing a sale order, the system will show the Remaining Credit for the customer.

Credit Limit Warning or Blocking
If the order exceeds the credit limit, the system will warn the user or block the confirmation depending on configuration.

Override Permission
Users with override permission can proceed with the order even if it exceeds the credit limit.
