Overview
Odoo 19 module that adds sale order stock availability, forecasted quantity, and stock status directly to sale order lines for sales teams and managers.
Supports v 19.0 — available directly on the Odoo Apps Store.
Description
Checking stock before confirming a quotation usually means leaving the sale order and opening the Inventory module to look up on-hand and forecasted quantities. This module removes that extra step by bringing sale order stock availability, forecasted quantity, and stock status directly onto the sale order line, so sales teams can review product availability without switching tabs.
Key Features
- On Hand Quantity Display: shows the current qty on hand for each product directly on the sale order line.
- Forecasted Quantity: displays future stock quantity, taking into account all incoming and outgoing stock moves.
- Stock Coverage Percentage: shows the percentage of the ordered quantity that can be delivered based on the forecasted stock.
- Color Indicators: visual stock status on the sale order line — red for out of stock, orange for partial or low stock, and green for enough stock.
- Stock Detail Popup: a button to view detailed stock information across different warehouse locations.
- Draft Mode Only: stock fields display and update in real time only while the order is in Quotation (draft) status.
- Unit of Measure Management: supports products with different units of measure.
How It Works
The fields for sale order stock availability are added as optional columns on the sale order line table. From Sales → Orders → Quotations, users can click the optional columns icon (the dots icon) at the top right of the line table and activate the “Qty On Hand,” “Forecasted Qty,” and “Stock Coverage” fields. Once activated, these fields appear on each sale order line for the corresponding product.
While the order remains in draft (Quotation) status, the on-hand quantity, forecasted quantity, and stock coverage percentage update in real time, along with the color indicator showing whether the product is out of stock, partially available, or fully available. A stock detail popup button is available on the line to view how the available quantity is distributed across different warehouse locations. Once the sale order is confirmed, the stock field data is frozen and no longer updates.
Business Use Cases
- A sales representative preparing a quotation can check sale order stock availability for each line item before sending it to the customer, without opening the Inventory module.
- A sales manager reviewing multiple quotations can quickly identify which lines show red (out of stock) or orange (partial stock) indicators before approving an order.
- A sales team handling products with different units of measure can view on-hand and forecasted quantities consistently within the sale order line itself.
- A sales user needing more detail on stock distribution can open the stock detail popup to see quantities across different warehouse locations before confirming availability with the customer.
