Supports v 18.0 — available directly on the Odoo Apps Store.
Description
When sales reps negotiate pricing with recurring customers, knowing what a customer paid last time — and when — is essential for consistent quoting. This module displays the last sale price and date directly on Odoo 18 sale order lines, based on the customer selected on the quotation, removing the need to open separate windows or dig through sales history reports to find this information.
Key Features
- Displays the last unit price at which a product was sold to the selected customer
- Displays the date when the product was last sold to that customer
- Information updates automatically when the customer on the sale order changes
- Last sale price and date are highlighted in blue and bold on the order line
- Information updates in real time while the order is in draft (Quotation) state
- Once the sale order is confirmed, the last sale information is locked at that point in time
How It Works
The last sale price and date fields are available as optional columns on the sale order line table. From Sales → Orders → Quotations, a user can click the optional columns icon (three dots) at the top-right of the order line table and enable the Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date columns.
Once enabled, these columns show the last sale price and last sale date for each product line, specific to the customer selected on that quotation. This information is retrieved from confirmed (posted) sale orders for the matching customer-product combination. While the order remains in draft (Quotation) state, the last sale price and date update in real time if the customer or product selection changes. Once the sale order is confirmed, the displayed last sale information is locked and no longer changes.
Business Use Cases
- A sales rep preparing a quotation for a repeat customer can immediately see the price and date of that customer's previous purchase of the same product, without switching screens or running a sales history report.
- During pricing negotiations, account managers can reference the exact last price offered to a specific customer, supporting consistent and informed decisions on the current quotation.
- When a product has never been sold to the selected customer before, the Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date columns remain empty, clearly indicating that this would be the first sale of that product to that customer.
- Once a quotation is confirmed into a sale order, the last sale information stays locked as it appeared at confirmation, preserving a clear record of what pricing context was available at that time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I enable the last sale price and date columns on the sale order line?
Click the optional columns icon (three dots) at the top-right of the sale order line table in Odoo 18, then select "Last Sale Price" and "Last Sale Date" from the dropdown list.
Does the module show data from any sale order or only confirmed ones?
The last sale price and date are retrieved only from confirmed (posted) sale orders for the selected customer-product combination.
What happens if a product has never been sold to the selected customer before?
If there is no sales history for that product-customer combination, the Last Sale Price and Last Sale Date columns remain empty, indicating this is the first sale of the product to that customer.
