Description

Branch Wise Financial Reports is an Odoo 15 accounting module that adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson filters to financial reports, allowing accounting teams to view profit and loss, balance sheet, and other financial statements broken down by these dimensions instead of relying on a single consolidated view.

Key Features of Branch Wise Financial Reports

  • Automatically maps warehouse and salesperson columns from existing purchase order and sales order warehouse data at the time of module installation.
  • Adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson filters across all financial reports, including profit and loss and balance sheet.
  • Introduces an Account Branch master, configured under Accounting > Configuration > Management > Account Branch.
  • Adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson columns at the invoice form line level.
  • Adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson columns as optional fields at the vendor bill form line level.
  • Adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson columns as optional fields in the Journal Items list view.
  • Adds warehouse and branch columns as optional fields in the Invoice list view.
  • Adds warehouse and branch columns as optional fields in the Vendor Bill list view.
  • Adds warehouse, branch, and salesperson columns to the Journal Items form view.

How It Works

After installing the module, a new menu is available for creating Account Branches. Once branches are configured, users can select an Account Branch directly on invoices and bills while creating or editing them. Warehouse and salesperson values are automatically mapped from the related purchase order or sales order at installation time, so existing bills and invoices are pre-populated where applicable.

With this setup in place, the warehouse, branch, and salesperson filters become available when applying filters on financial reports such as profit and loss. The Invoice and Vendor Bill tree views display warehouse and branch columns, while the line level of both invoices and vendor bills shows branch, warehouse, and salesperson fields. Under Accounting > Journal Items, the tree view and form view both display Warehouse, Account Branch, and Sales Person columns for detailed transaction tracking.

Business Use Cases

This module is useful for businesses that operate through multiple branches or warehouses and need to review financial reports segmented by those dimensions rather than as a single combined report. For example, an accounting team can apply a branch filter on the profit and loss report to review figures for one specific branch, or apply a warehouse filter to isolate transactions tied to a particular warehouse.

Sales-driven organizations that track performance by salesperson can also benefit, since salesperson columns are available on invoices, vendor bills, and journal items, making it possible to review accounting entries in relation to the salesperson associated with each transaction. Companies that already use purchase orders and sales orders with warehouse data will find that this information carries over automatically to existing bills and invoices upon installation.
