The Desidiya Black Mamba pendant light provided decent enough lighting for casual reading if it was installed near the reading place. However, it was inferior in its performance to the dedicated reading lamp because of not being able to provide focused, glare-free lighting. The lighting of the fixture was comfortable to be used as ambient lighting, but crystal accents were scattering some amount of light which created shadow on the paper during extended reading. For short reading periods and supplementary lighting for a dedicated reading lamp this product can be considered as good enough choice. However, for people who rely on it as their main reading lamp, we can advise using a dedicated reading lamp along with it since it does not provide enough lighting for comfortable reading. Nevertheless, if used as an ambient and accent lighting, this product is still really good choice to make. And that is why this product worth buying.
