Dell 15 Laptop - Excellent Specification, Volatile Pricing, and a 0% Battery Out of the Box
Verified Purchase

I placed the order for the 512 GB SSD variant of this Dell laptop on June 2, 2026. At the time of purchase, it was priced at ₹62,990. However, today it is selling for ₹56,990, a drop of ₹6,000 in just one day. Interestingly, on June 1, 2026, the same laptop was priced at ₹67,990. The pricing appears to be highly volatile, which is quite surprising. When I checked the manufacturing details on the Dell website, it showed a manufacturing date of February 22, 2026, which means the laptop was approximately 4.5 months old at the time of delivery. While this is not uncommon for electronic products, it is something prospective buyers may want to be aware of.Another concern was the battery condition upon arrival. When I tried to power on the laptop for the first time, the battery was at 0%, and the laptop would not turn on. I had to charge it for about 30 minutes before I could start using it. In my experience, I have never received a brand-new laptop with a completely discharged battery. It would have been preferable if the seller had ensured the battery had at least a minimal charge before shipping. As a precaution, I recorded the entire process—from unboxing to the first successful power-on. I will contact the seller regarding this issue and will update this review once I receive their response. The configuration of the laptop I received is as follows:Model: Dell 15 Laptop (DC15250)Processor: 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1334U (10 cores, up to 4.60 GHz, 64-bit)Memory: 16 GB DDR4 (1 × 16 GB, 2666 MT/s)Storage: 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDDisplay: 15.6-inch FHD (1920 × 1080), 120 Hz, 250 nits, WVA Anti-Glare LED Backlit Narrow BorderGraphics: Intel UHD GraphicsKeyboard: Backlit KeyboardOperating System: Windows 11 Home Single Language (Lifetime)Office: Microsoft Office Home 2024 (Lifetime)Microsoft 365: 1-year subscriptionAntivirus: McAfee (12 months)Wireless: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) 2×2 MU-MIMOPower Adapter: 65 W AC Adapter (4.5 mm, E4)Battery: 3-cell, 41 WhPalm Rest: Platinum Silver (without fingerprint reader)Warranty: 1 Year onsite warranty from Dell (OEM)For those who are tech-savvy, please note that this laptop comes with a non-vPro processor, and the palm rest does not include a fingerprint reader. The laptop did not come with a carrying case or a mouse. It would have been better if the seller had bundled a carrying case and a mouse with the package. The Amazon packaging was good. The laptop arrived in two boxes (one box placed inside the other), providing adequate protection during transit. However, I was under the impression that I had opted for Open Box Delivery with OTP verification. The delivery person informed me that it was not an Open Box Delivery and asked me to share the OTP before handing over the laptop. I had little choice but to share the OTP, especially since he is the regular Amazon delivery associate in my area.I purchased this laptop under the buyback/exchange option by trading in my 10-year-old laptop, which was still in good working condition. Amazon offered ₹2,800 for the old laptop (though the exchange price was very less). The exchange process was smooth, and I had a very positive experience with the Amazon delivery person.I will update this review after using the laptop for a few months and share my experience regarding its performance, battery life, and overall reliability.

Terrible product
Verified Purchase

I bought this laptop expecting "budget business machine." What I got was a beige brick that somehow makes Comic Sans feel fast by comparison.Performance: Opening a browser tab feels like negotiating a hostage situation. I've seen glaciers move with more urgency than this thing boots up.Build Quality: The plastic chassis creaks if you look at it wrong. Within three months, the hinge started sounding like a rusty gate in a horror movie. Very atmospheric, not what I paid for.Battery Life: Advertised "all-day battery." Reality: all-day battery, if your day is 45 minutes long and you don't touch the keyboard.Keyboard: Typing on this feels like poking a sponge that's mildly annoyed with you. Half the keys need a personal invitation to register a keystroke.Customer Support: Called Dell support and got put on hold long enough to finish a degree. When someone finally answered, they suggested I "try turning it off and on again," which, ironically, is also the laptop's top speed setting.Verdict: If you're looking for a laptop that makes you nostalgic for dial-up internet, congratulations — you've found it. Would not recommend to my worst enemy, and I have enemies.
