This is not a speaker its a smart device. You are not paying for the music but rather the experience that it comes with.Definitely not recommended to use as stand alone device. If you dont have smart devices at home it reduces it functionality.Works very well and executes command immediately after sentence ends.Set alarm, play music, radio ask questions etc etcThe display is also good and animations are there but they are slow and dont work everytime( refer photos).Overall good product but over priced for a price sensitive market.Also there were reports of product blacking out completely so these things were not supposed to happen.Volume is okayish and quality is also okayish dont expect much.Responds well to hotword but sometimes misses and also lacks IQ to answer questions correctly when compared to google.
Writing this review post 1 month of usage -Pros:1. Sound quality is better than any other Alexa models2. Responsiveness is also good3. Easy connect with Bluetooth devices4. Display makes it more attractiveCons - have not experienced it. Will write again post 5 months of usage.
Double the price of my previous Echo with many basic features being removed. Amazon is blindly fleecing customers. Display is poor. Watch can’t be seen from a distance. Watch keeps getting removed for random unscheduled changes. Serial instructions optik is no longer available. Voice quality is also inferior. Feel cheated with buy.
Excellent upgrade from my 2nd generation Alexa Echo. Sound and bass much better and good looking device with some new features. Auto brightness of the screen as per the room light can be enabled. On the expensive side but lasts for many years. Overall satisfied and recommended.
Overall the speaker is performing as expected. However, please don't expect top notch sound quality. I am also using a Google Home Mini, and that sounds better than this Echo Spot. Echo Spot is a decent bedside speaker in a moderate size bedroom. It's not meant for larger rooms.One good thing is it also shows the basic weather information along with the clock in the display. But please note that the temperature shown is from some weather forecast app. The device doesn't have any temperature sensor.One downsize, in fact applicable to all the Echo devices, is that Youtube Music can't be streamed directly. Only option is to connect the phone using bluetooth and then play Youtube Music. Come on Amazon and Google - what's the point in such child-like fights??! Prime Music and Spotify can be streamed directly.Will post update after a couple of months' more use.
Replacing my old Echo, looks cute and works great, sound quality is excellent. Amazon should bring some animations to the LED screen when we speak kids might love it.It’s unfortunate that Amazon no longer provides free uninterrupted music with Prime membership, might feel annoying while adds interrupted music.
